HIV/AIDS

There are a few facts about the disease of Aids/HIV.

1. There are aids patients in all most all country of the world.
   
   
2. It is one of the big problem that today world is facing.
   
   
3. A study of 2002 shows 42 millions are suffering with aids. Out of these 20 Millions are women & 3.2 millions are children.
   
   
4. In 2002, the death toll of aids patients was 3.1 million (1.2 million women & 0.6 million children who are under 15.)

 “Safe Life from Aids” under this theme HRS has start various programs at local level to give awareness to general public.. Pamphlets regarding Precautionary Measurements to prevent from Aids have been distributed in bazaars, Bus Stand & Railway station and to students in schools & colleges. UNICEF provided these Pamphlets.This was joint effort of UNICEF and HRS.This broke the dead lock among public. HRS also participated in conference which held very first time in Pakistan at Marriot Hotel in Islamabad with the collobration of Ministrsy of Health, AMAL(huamndevelopment Network), National Aids Control Program Pakistan, and UNAIDS.
